FireShield product claims are rewritten from public pages on fireshieldwildfire.com (why-fireshield, practical examples, vs competition, articles, fires, contact).
FireRoofs, waveGUARD, and Matador Fire summaries come from their public marketing sites only. Where a vendor publishes nothing on a capability, this lab says so.
What “testing” means here
This site does not run laboratory burn certifications or vendor field audits. Scores and picks synthesize published capabilities, coverage footprints, pricing transparency, and control features a homeowner can verify on each company’s site.
Live incident markers are fetched from a public incident feed using a geographic bounding box. Labels stay generic (“Nearby incidents”, “Updated …”) and appear as research notes — not product scores.

FireShield is a disclosed paid / sponsored placement and is ranked as the editorial pick. FireRoofs, waveGUARD, and Matador Fire are unpaid comparison listings.
